This policy explains what personal data Cronos AI Lab collects through cronos-ai-lab.be, why we collect it, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
Cronos AI Lab, part of The Cronos Group, is the data controller for personal data submitted through this website. Veldkant 33A, 2550 Kontich, Belgium. hello@cronos-ai-lab.be
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. There is no tracking on this website.
Form submissions. The fields you complete on a contact or Request for AI form — typically your name, email address, organisation, and the details of your enquiry.
Email correspondence. Anything you send us directly, including any attachments.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical request data (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you.
Why we process it
To respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent, given when you tick the consent box before submitting a form, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
To assess a possible working relationship — a challenge, a startup partnership, a role, a founder conversation, or a lab collaboration. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract.
To keep the site secure and available. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating the website.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who we share it with
Form submissions are transmitted by Web3Forms, which delivers them to our mailbox on our behalf as a data processor. Email is handled by The Cronos Group’s corporate mail infrastructure. Website hosting is provided by our hosting partner.
Depending on which route you use, your submission may be shared internally with the relevant The Cronos Group team. We do not share it outside the group without your knowledge.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead anywhere: deleted within 12 months.
Talent applications: retained for 12 months so we can contact you about relevant roles, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Ongoing relationships: retained for the duration of the relationship and for as long as we are legally required to keep the records afterwards.
Server logs: retained for a maximum of 90 days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict or object to how we process it; receive your data in a portable format; withdraw consent at any time, without affecting past processing.
To exercise any of these, email hello@cronos-ai-lab.be. We respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), dataprotectionauthority.be.
